Hello all,

First time posting on this forum. I completely botched last cycle so I figured it would pay to turn to every resource available this time.

Long story short, I had a bad time financially last year which was compounded by my naivete. I sent my secondaries out in October when I finally found a job. I could afford 11 apps so I chose schools close by (I live in MA), got 2 II's (UMass and Albany), and no acceptances.

Graduated UMass BS Biology, Honors in 2012
  • Undergraduate research on bacteriophage
  • Tutored
  • Founded and ran Biology Club
Lab tech 2012-2015: studied soil microbes
Phlebotomist Oct 2015 - present: get paid to stab people
Lab tech Jan 2016 - present: currently studying Mtb
Lead a chapter of Partners In Health Engage since the start of 2016.
100hrs volunteering at hospital
100hrs with Red Cross and others

I'm on track time-wise this cycle, but I'd like some advice for how to make the most of my situation. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
