3.9+,40+, poor ECs, WAMC?

Hi ladies and gents,

Other posters told me to start my own thread to get some feedback on my school list. Below are my major ECs (300+ hrs)-

EC:
-Coached a high school sports team, multiple seasons
-Started and organized an annual cultural festival since 2008
-Helped organize annual meeting for medical alumni assocation, also helped with CME organization
-Volunteered in hospital (multiple departments, clinical)
-TA'd 5 courses
-Medically related research for 3 summers, 1pub 2nd author, mid impact

Minor EC:
-Intramural sports
-Shadowed IM, 40hrs

Awards:
- 4 National Level research grants
- Regional level volunteer Award
-Various minor academic awards

I would like to get into a top 20 school because I want to go into academic medicine. Specifically, my dream job would be becoming a Clinical Educator or Professor of Clinical XXX at a large hospital system. I like research, but I love teaching and clinical medicine more. I've gotten a couple of interviews, but in case I don't get in this cycle I would love some constructive criticism for my school list and for my ECs while I still have a chance to improve them.

You will do well this process. As to whether top 20, it depends on how you do at writing essays and interviewing. You will very likely get interviews at some great schools.

Tl;dr: as good a shot as any at top20.

I think you'll end up somewhere that will satisfy you, assuming you applied on time. Your ECs are not as weak as you made them sound in your other posts. Good luck!
