2000+ Research hours, multiple first author publications, multiple conference presentations
1500+ hours clinical volunteering
130 hours non-clinical volunteering (I labeled as social justice/advocacy)
75 hours paid clinical work
50 hours leading a club to help underserved get into med school.

Not sure if my non-clinical volunteering is holding me back a lot, or if my clinical volunteering could help. Said I was gonna do another 30 hours of non-clinical volunteering this year during gap year.

Do you have any in person physician shadowing hours ? Where is your state of residency ? When are you planning to apply ?

120 shadowing hours, CA. The average MCAT score for the schools I'm applying is 515.5, including all CA schools besides CUSM and Northstate, schools in MN, OH, New England for the most part. Only school applying to 1 school with 520+ average MCAT. Also haven't submitted for DO but will be applying to 9 DO schools or so

Stony Brook, Toledo and Northeast Ohio admit few non residents with no connection to the state. Carle is looking for applicants with an engineering background. You could add any of these schools:
Western Michigan
USF Morsani
George Washington
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Hofstra
New York Medical College
Vermont
Iowa

Ok thanks, will look into those schools. Applying to the Ohio schools because my parents live there (I actually qualify as in-state for OSU). Once I get my top schools done I will definitely apply to a few more of those.
