my first semester in college i was caught with a gram of weed.
i was given a ticket and not arrested.
i appeared in court on my date about 6 months later.
the judge reduced the charge to 'use of marijuana'.
As a result of this reduction, no fingerprints were taken.
I did a term of probation and my record was expunged/sealed.

I remember purchasing a shotgun during this probation period.
the vendor ran a background check via the FBI and said I had a clean, clear record.

Why should I even bother listing this event on my application?
Listing this incident on an official document will just bring this to light and tear open a healing wound from the past: I know people say 'The Army will find out everything eventually"... How would they possibly find out about this at all without me telling them?
I told my recruiter everything I have just said by the way.

Also, could this affect Dental Licensing?
I was never fingerprinted or arrested, so I am really uncertain as to how anybody would be able to find out unless I told them.

@FOX_ONE Dont list it since you have be cleared of it.

There have been situations where expunged records have still come up from more extensive background checks from job interviews and what not but since you had a vendor run a check and went through the FBI I would say YOURE GOOD TO GO.
