I currently have a ton of schools I'm thinking about but want to apply to about 25 of these but don't know how to effectively narrow it down. I am a NY resident, URM.

1) Jefferson University School of Med
2) SUNY Downstate
3) Hofstra University
4) Tufts
5) Miami
6) Rochester
7) Eastern Virginia Medical School
8) Stonybrook
9) SUNY Upstate Medical University
10) Quinnipiac
11) University at Buffalo
12) Albany Medical College
13) Rosalind Franklin
14) New York Medical College
15) Commonwealth Medical College
16) Drexel
17) Penn State U College of Med
18) Temple
19) Pittsburgh
20) GWU
21) Medical College of Wisconsin
22) Rush
23) St. Louis
24) Emory
25) Brown U
26) Georgetown U (or another reach school like Dartmouth, Duke, Case Western)
27) Mayo Clinic
28) Virginia Tech Carilion
29) Tulane
30) Loyola
31) Vermont
32) Wake Forest
33) Loma Linda
34) Creighton Med School

I suggest removing schools that get tons of apps (probably the easiest method to narrow down your list?), which are:

1. Rosalind Franklin
2. GWU
3. Georgetown U (which I think you should replace with Dartmouth)
4. Tulane
5. Tufts
6. Jefferson
7. NYMC (given there are tons of other schools in NY, I think you can probably remove this one)
8. Drexel
9. Temple

34 - 9 = 25!

I think you have a good shot at NY schools based on your numbers. Good luck!
