Which is better?


I think the 34 is because shows ample mastery of the sciences..which is amazing!
Verbal is indicative of step scores but eh.. It is that accurate? Especially when this section is most apt to change?

Opinions?

I strongly disagree with that... My verbal score was in the bottom 15% percentile yet I had a step score that was well above average...

I hope this is true. And i have heard this from many other med students/residents/docs. It is just another test.
 
I agree with everything ColeOnTheRoll has to say.

I like how all the studies everyone has referenced correlates the mcat to success on a future standardized exam...what is more interesting is to see what correlates with success as a doctor.

but a doctor's "success" is something very hard to define.

personally i don't think the mcat correlates to success as a doctor. it seems to be more of a brick wall to make sure the right people get in.
