4.0 GPA (Honours Chem)
35R MCAT (11-12-12)

Going into 3rd year university, will apply at the start of my 4th.

EC's:

Received an NSERC grant (chemistry) for Summer 2012
Expect to gain another grant for Summer 2013
New Student Orientation (NSO) volunteer (2012, will be again in 2013)
Shinerama voluenteer (both as part of NSO and a few events throughout the summer/school year)
Can easily obtain ~50 hours of doctor shadowing this year (Infectious Disease Specialist in Ontario and Cardiologist in Ohio have both offered, and I will take them up on it)
Am looking at volunteering at soup kitchen and/or Joyriders (riding for disabled children) throughout this school year.
Part of the university Jazz Ensemble
15 hours of volunteer time at the Humane Society during the start of 2nd year

I've been so focussed on school that I haven't had any time for extracurricular activities. :/

Better now than never. ECs are easier to fix than the other two, at least.

While this may be true, but adcoms won't care for that excuse as they receive hundreds of applications with stats similar/better than yours, but also with the EC's to round them out.

You still have time to add relevant EC's, just get cracking. Medically relevant volunteering/shadowing is absolutely critical to an app, and it will hold you back if adcoms see that missing.
