I am applying to DO schools. I would choose DO over MD schools and that is my choice. I just got my MCAT scores back and this is my first time taking the test. Here is the breakdown on my MCAT:

CP- 126
CARS- 123
BB- 126
PS- 127

I am from NJ!

Experiences:
Study Abroad Student in Spain- 1500 hrs (I am fluent in Spanish)
Study Abroad Student in Guatemala- 200 hrs
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)- 800 hrs
Research Experience- 300 hrs
Shadowing Physician- 50 hrs
Spanish translator- 60 hrs
Extracurriculars/Leadership activities- 135 hrs

I feel I have a personal statement that makes me an interesting candidate. My PS is tailored to DO schools.

I have 6 strong LORs (1 MD LOR, 2 Research LORs, 3 Professors LORs that I took a few classes with). I do not have a DO LOR... I just found out I had a DO in the family, but, I don't want to ask him for an LOR.

Here is my list and I apologize in advance for such a long post:

Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine (RowanSOM)
New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM)
Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-COM)
A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine ATSU-KCOM
Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM)
Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM)
Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine (DMUCOM)
Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (CCOM)
Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in California (TUCOM)
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM)

WAMCs? What are other MD/DO schools I should apply to? I have AMCAS filled out I just need to edit my personal statement so it doesn't sound like a DO

For MD schools you could try your 3 NJ state public schools and Seton Hall.
On your DO list Ohio University and Michigan State accept few non residents. I suggest adding these schools:
VCOM (all 3 schools)
CUSOM
LECOM (all schools)
ARCOM
BCOM
UIWSOM

Thank you for your feedback. Your not the first to say I should try applying to my state MD schools.
