Currently a senior at UGA applying for the 2020 cycle - Psychology major + Neuroscience emphasis & German minor

cGPA: 3.68, sGPA: 3.58
MCAT: 507 (126/127/126/128)
Demographic Info: Black, female, low SES, First Gen

Clinical Experience:
- ED scribe (includes shadowing) - paid, about 1,500 hours
- Ophthalmic Medical Assistant - paid, just started working here for my gap year, will work about 40 hours a week for the year

Research Experience:
-1 year in microbiology lab
- Current - 4 months in family sciences/neuroscience lab (continuing throughout gap year)
- Research project - directed study for organic chemistry with presentation/ACS format paper written

Non-clinical Volunteering/Leadership:
- Science tutor (college level)
- Math tutor (college/elementary school level)
- Mentor (elementary school)
- Misc volunteering with student organizations
- Annual volunteering at a music festival

Other:
- 4 student organizations (1 Psi Chi Honor Society)
- Recs: 1 orgo professor, 1 neuro professor, 1 german professor, 1 research PI (might include another psych professor)
- Awarded 4 scholarships for/during undergrad

I'm a Georgia resident and looking to apply mainly to schools in the southeast, but if anyone has strong recommendations of schools outside of the region, anything helps! Also if I should remove a school from my list, I'd love to hear what you think!
Notes: I have familial ties in CT, NY, and VA. Also, not planning on applying DO because I have never worked with a DO and would not be able to get a DO letter :/
