Hi Everyone,

I just finished my Junior year and I am applying to MD programs this cycle (2019). I would appreciate some help cutting down my school list. My list is currently at about 39 schools and I'm aiming to apply to about 25-30. I am an Arizona resident studying at a large public university in Arizona, and I don't have a preference of staying in state or going out of state. I don't have many ties to other states, other than that I used to live in SoCal for a year when I was a child and have many family friends there. I'm interested in a school with a focus on research and public service, with strong ties to its community. I'm also interested in an MPH dual-degree program. I would appreciate any advice! Thank you!!

You could remove the schools that strongly prefer their own residents including U Wisconsin, Rutgers, SUNY Downstate, Stony Brook, UCLA, UCSF, UCSD. Also the reaches such as Stanford, Northwestern, U Penn, Cornell and NYU
