My father is an El Salvadorian immigrant who didn't finish high school, and my mom has a bachelors degree. I grew up in Kansas City, MO in a low-income area (>50,000) and relate much more with my mother's urban African American side than my father's.

Kansas resident? I'd add UKSOM and UKMC.

I'd also add a couple more target/safety schools (hofstra, pitt, case, etc.) but you should get interviews from that list.

As long as you include your state schools and the HBCU's , you can add any OOS privates that you might prefer to them.
