Hey everyone! I am hoping that you all would help me figure out what type of schools I should be applying for?? I feel like my GPA might be concerning for some schools that I want to go to but I was hoping to see if any of you have experience with any similar cases?

Year in school: Senior taking gap year
Country/state of residence: FL
Schools to which you are applying: Have not started this yet, hoping to get suggestions at what type of school I should be applying to
Cumulative GPA: 3.6. Low GPA because I did 60 credits of Dual Enrollment in HS in which I had 3.12GPA. Once I got to my 4 year institution, I have gotten all A's and A-'s and have a 3.86 GPA.
MCAT Scores: 515 (129/126/128/132)
Research – 4 years, 2000+ hours (I got paid). 1 publication as second author. Several poster presentations as first author. Also Currently applying to Fulbright. If not accepted, I have been accepted to the NIH PostBac program.
Volunteering (clinical) – 120 hours in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department.
Physician shadowing – Pediatrics:20 hours, Surgery: 40 hours. Non-clinical volunteering- 200 hours in camp for children with disabilities, day care, Tutoring.
Extracurricular activities: President of Research organization. Animal Rights organization. Student representative at Strategic Planning Committee for Undergraduate Research.
Employment history: Work as a summer camp counselor and research assistant.

You are competitive for all the Florida schools so apply to all of them including NOVA MD. Are there any OOS schools that appeal to you?

Although I do plan to apply to florida schools, I actually prefer to go out of the state. I am trying to find what type of schools I should be looking at from OOS. I have a few friends at Upenn and Albert Einstein which I would love to go to but I am not sure how likely that is!

I think you'll be fine since there's a clear upward trend in the GPA so I assume you did well in your prereqs and higher level science courses; plus you're MCAT is very good so in terms of stats I don't think you should have a problem

I suggest any of these OOS schools with your stats:
Boston University
Tufts
New York Medical College
Hofstra
Einstein
Mount Sinai
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
GW
Georgetown
Tulane
Wake Forest
Virginia Commonwealth
Eastern Virginia
St. Louis
Cincinnati
