looking for help to make a school list! I have my own right now, but did not want to introduce any bias.

520 MCAT/3.82 GPA - Biology/Biomedical Engineering - Double Major

Extremely strong upward trend (4.0 over last 107 credits over 5 semesters + 1 summer session). Most semesters were 18-20 credits.

Strong basic science research over 3 years - 2,000 hours

1st author original research paper in review, Honors Thesis defended/accepted with high distinction, 1 poster and 1 abstract at two research conferences in my field, 2 other posters at university conferences, 2 school intensive research programs from sophomore-senior years.

BME research using machine learning to develop a point-of-care diagnostic tool for a type of cancer (95%+ accuracy on 10,000 images) - 300 hours
-> placed 1st in an international global health technology competition with this project

590 clinical hours (210 volunteering/390 paid)
- 250 as an ED scribe
- 130 as a OR Medical Assistant
- 210 as an Surgical Care Unit volunteer & COVID screener

100 hours scribing
- Orthopedic Surgeon, Pediatric surgeon-in-chief, internal medicine, cardiologist

240 hours non-clinical volunteering
- food pantry
- church
- non-medical mission trip

400 hours non-clinical paid
- Medical Device Internship at a Healthcare company

Projected Hours for gap year:
1300 clinical - ED scribe/OR assistant
100 non-clinical food pantry
250 research - basic science

Highlighting in secondaries a research position with a professor of medicine on health information technology during my gap year.
