That is a plastics spot noless!

it't (UCLA) not that surprising considering some of the best instructors that made the program strong have left in recent years...

NEways good luck to those who are scrambling and best wishes for Match day for those that already have...

UCLA is a plastic spot I think...

Hey Surg4me...what do you know about UCLA's G surg program...Please enlighten me about the exodus that you mentioned earlier...Thanks! :)

You are correct. I checked using the NRMP code number for this unmatched spot; the UCLA unfilled spot is for its Plastic Surgery position.

And then there were six..............

On the interview trail, I have interviewed with ex-UCLA clinical and research faculty who transferred out to NJ, TX, and NY (within last 4 years) because of the "changing philosophy and political atmosphere" not in the interest of improving the training there.

This is interesting, since Chicago Med is my #2. That means (if my understanding of the algorithm is correct) that if I was on their list AT ALL, I either matched there or my #1. Of course, the other scenario is that they hated me and didn't put me on their list, which means I could be anywhere.

Just thinking out loud... ;)

so why did Chicago med have two open spots? it's in a big city, seems like lots would want to be there just for the location factor??
