How many have seen changes this month since the official start of the "80-hour rule"? I have been told that at my school, general and neurosurgery now have a night-float system and rarely have to take call unless they're on the night float month.

That's what I like to hear. 🙂

That's because you're lazy, and you spend all day on SDN instead of doing something productive😛

🙄

If potentially working 80 hours a week is "lazy", then what do you call other doctors who work more normal hours? Don't fall into the trap of thinking that you have to work ridculous hours to be a competent surgeon.

And making it to MS-IV allows one to be lazy. 😎

It was just a joke dude. No offense

Furthermore, isn't there already a thread going on about working an 80-hour work week?

Definately be lazy during your fourth year. Save energy for intern year - you'll need it, 80 hour work week or no.
