People would have more to go on if you could give more background.

First time taker?
I'd say to look at two things re: the MCAT. 1) Were you fully prepared? 2)Did you do significantly better on the AAMC practice tests?. If you answered 1) yes and 2) no, I'd say apply. If not (all other things not considered), maybe retake.
