Hey I was just curious if anyone applied after just 90 hours of coursework and actually got in. If you could tell me what your stats were and where you applied that would be great. Thanks a lot.
I would venture a guess here, but I think 99% of all applicants will have a degreee before matriculating into med school. You have to really be a super, super applicant to get in with only the 90 credits.
It will be interesting to see who did get in with only the 90.
At Johns Hopkins, they had(don't know if still do) a biophysics major that could be completed in 3 years. A friend of mine did just that. Alas, I can't give any specifics. 🙁
I was accepted with something like 84 credits. Not the best GPA or MCAT, but like most medical schools that accept seniors in undergrad, they expect you to finish your Bachelor's degree.
I knew of one guy who got into UOP dental school with the minimum requirement (I think it was 90 semester credits). But then again, every unit had an A attached to it. There wasn't much point to him finishing his degree unless he wanted it. There is a second year student at UHS that hadn't finished her undergrad when she started. I don't really know her story though.
