A Chicago Sun Times Reporter Just Interviewed Me About AMCAS!!!

    Got a call today from a reporter (I have no idea how she got my name or phone number) asking me a ton of questions about the AMCAS app and my difficulties with it. I told her of the horrors I have seen :D and the entire story of the new AMCAS app. She told me she was writing for the Monday paper, so keep an eye out. At the very end, I told her she can probably get some good quotes/email addresses from SDN and gave her the URL to this site, so check your mail over the weekend. She then asked me if I would mind taking a picture this weekend with my computer for the paper ("if they [her editor?] want a picture").

    What a week it has been for me. I was questioned by an police investigator about someone I am tutoring (whom I don't really even know), I met Jesse Jackson while we were both waiting in line to get Italian ice, and I was interviewed by the Sun Times about AMCAS.

    Maybe next I'll start getting secondaries from schools I didn't even apply to...

    Sun Times called at 11am this morning - they're sending a photo guy over at 3pm. This is getting bizzare...

    No idea, Popoy - I think I'll call the reporter on Monday and ask where in the world she got my name and number from. I'm unlisted and my university has a different number for me, so I'm a bit confused about all this. Then again, they ARE reporters. Their job is to find information...

    Photographer just left - he took 5 shots each of two different angles: one of me resting my arm on my keyboard with the AMCAS log in site on my screen and one of me pretending like I am working on my application ("stare at the screen, don't smile, and move your fingers like you're typing").

    I hope they publish the photo (he said they most likely would - that they don't send photographers out unless they intend to use the shot). If it gets published, I'll post it and the article.

    I wonder if the adcoms read the Sun Times?
