Einstein is scheduling interviews regardless of whether one's application is verified or not (what a relief). I have yet to receive an official date though.

I received an offer for an interview at AECOM(as did a friend of mine) without my AMCAS application being processed. So I guess the numbers game is in full effect there? I'm just worried that most schools are going to wait for AMCAS to send verified applications (cue uproarious laughter), and we'll know if weren't in or out two days before matriculation.

Goldie they told me that they had my app - just the unverified form, so I don't think it's all numbers. I hear you though, there are some schools that are waiting for the verifed form. BTW congrats and good luck on your interview! :)

If there is one medical school you can count on where it is NOT just numbers, it is AECOM.
This is an unusual application year and the selection for interview might be more number based than usual. However, the interview itself is of critical importance. Of the medical schools in the New York City area I consider Einstein the most user-friendly as well as a first-rate medical education.

Einstein has a friendly, supportative environment. Many medical students like their medical schools but many Einstein students love AECOM.

  8. I don't know if this is a rumor or not?! But I have heard that when Einstein acts for pic then that is a good sign, indicating that an interview is emminent?

    is that true?

I think they want photos from everyone who has sent in a secondary.

Does anyone know if there is any truth in Watchamacallit's rumor than when AEMC asks for a photo that it's a positive sign for an interview? Anybody got any experience with this?

They have asked for pics from EVERYONE.
The only reason they have to send out an email to everyone is because the instruction to do so is not on the actual internet secondary. It is on the instruction page though.
