1. in sagital plane diagram ,initial occlusal contact in retruded contacting position occurs
a]at more lateral position than intercusspal position
b]at same verticle position as i.c.p.
c]at more superior position than i.c.p
d]at more inferior position than i.c.p

2when a brief period of hysterical hyperventillation causes respiratory alkalosis ,tetany might be caused by sudden decrease in the following kind of calcium
a]total serum
b]ionized serum
c]citrate bound
d]serum protien bound

3enamel rods converge as they pass from dentinoenamel junction towards the surface in the area of
a]cervical line of perm teeth
b]cervical line of primary teeth

4.which of the following are located extracellularly
a]lysosomes
b]microtubules
c]tonofibrils
d]glycocalyx

5.secondary centtre of ossification is found in which of the following arrea
a]diaphysis

The blue ones, I am pretty sure, the red ones are just guesses.

please correct if i am wrong

I think the secondary centre of ossification is epiphyseal plate.
pls corrcet me if i am wrong.

Can someone explain the first question.?
In protrusive contacts, it makes sense if the contact is inferior to the ICP.?

the retrudred contact position is the most antero-superior position of the condyles, so if we move the condyles from that position to centric occlussion( i.c.p). condyles will then actually move down,
so answer for 1 shoulsd be c

if i am wrong then plz correct me

are you guys dead sure that the answer for 2nd question is ionized Calcium

You are right and that's what I thought too. But just a correction, retruded contact position is not the most antero-superior pos. (CR is, and there is no contact in CR).

Hi

I agree with you on all the answers except 1st.

Can you explain it. I am not able to get the above explanation.
Are we looking at the position of the condyles or at the teeth.

Thanks

Kind of both, the condylar position helps us in determining the pos. of the condyle in the fossa and the ICP gives us an idea of the occlusal plane.

I think ans to Q no. 1 is d -more inferior position than icp

Both retruded contact position & Centric relation are the same [acc. to Wheeler's]

Also ans for Q. 2,shouldn't it be a.- total serum ??

I cud be wrong, can somebody explain plz?:(

I agree with d) more inferior position than icp
Dont forget the diagram made in Kaplan's DA section!..it clearly shows RCP and CR position.
Please correct me if im wrong! but im 95% sure its choice (d)

fefzie and 32 pearls, both of you are correct. It should be more inferior to the ICP. I don't remember how I answered more superior pos. as it does not make any sense to me at all now. Just mood, I guess.

Q no.1 is d what i think is when the mandible moves from icp to rcp it moves bacwards and slightly downwards
Qno2.I am not sure
