hey guys, I have a few questions, and please don't kill me for asking (esp the 1st two), because I'm not sure of some stuff...here goes:

1) I cannot find the address's to the dental schools in Arizona or in Las Vegas. I need to send some stuff to my prehealth office, and I need exact addresses...anyone know where I can find them (they're not listed on Adea's site)

2) Since I'm a reapplicant, I took the DAT in 2000 (got an 18), do I put that on my aadsas application and also put down that I plan on retaking it this august? I hope schools don't shoot me down without looking at my new DAT scores coming up this August.

3) Also, I know this is being discussed amongst you guys, but this past year is my one year of postbacc classes...do I put them down as undergrad and since they should be able to see I graduated last year, it'll be obvious that this past year were postbacc classes?

Damn, I REALLY hope I get in this time...my recent sci gpa has improved, my DAT this summer I plan on beating my old score (18) and I plan on writing a better personal statement. I don't normally pray, but I'm praying I get in this year!!!  :)

Vixen,
I wish I could be of help , But I dont have any answers to your questions. Just an opinion abt mentioning the DAT scores. If you plan to give it again, then may be its best not to mention the previous scores on the application.

UNLV's address is 4505 Maryland Pkwy, Box 453055
Las Vegas, NV 89154-3055

The Arizona School is the Arizona School of Health Sciences, 5850 E. Still Circle, Mesa, Arizona 85206....you can call them ((480) 219-6025) if you wanna confirm their address and if there is anyone in particular you should have the stuff mailed to.

As for the DAT score, I would leave it on there and put that you are planning on taking it again in the future because some schools don't even look at your app until it is complete and having a score already on the app. would at least get the process started. (besides 18 isn't tooo bad of a score...) also i think (not sure though) that the testing office sends all of your scores to the schools (if anyone knows otherwise please correct me... :p ) But yeah....good luck on your application!....i'm sure you'll get in....

As a side note, since Arizona has been mentioned in this topic: I just spoke with the Dean and he said he prefers everybody to submit their DAT information through AADSAS only.

That means that rather than receiving an official DAT transcript from the ADA, Arizona will just look at the DAT scores you submit on your AADSAS application. Therefore, writing the ADA and asking them to send DAT scores to Arizona is unecessary (at least at this stage in the game).

I'm sure they'll view an official transcript of the scores at a later time.

As far as the 3rd Q. If you are postbac. then you are in grad. school. and all the classes you are taking or have taken will be consider as grad. level.

I want to say (from personal experience) that you should include the last DAT scores. They'll see your intentions and receive your new scores in plenty of time, don't worry about that interfering with an acceptance. If anything, I think it might show them your determination to the field of dentistry. You may disagree, but I've been there and that's how it worked for me.

WTF is going on?!?! I've replied TWICE and the forums are messed up and won't let me reply!! errrr!! Anyways...

Cusp, thank you for the addresses and phone numbers! I really appreciate your help!

GavinC, thanks for the news!!! I think you've just saved me and others a little $$$!

Arazi, I've heard conflicting things about it, so I might call a few schools and ask...when I do I'll post it so others know, thanks!

deciduous, I agree with you. I just wanted to check and make sure I wasn't shooting myself in the foot, so thanks for your advice!

Thanks guys!!! Good luck and lets KIP (keep in touch!) <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" /> :D
