Well, good luck everybody. I took the April MCAT and now I'm retaking the August one tomorrow, and I've definitely learned a thing or two about the last few days of preparation. The best advice I can give you guys is to not buy into that myth that you're hearing from everybody--that the entire balance of the universe itself rests in those 6 hours tomorrow. I heard it everywhere, especially from my review class teachers last spring, and it is something that can definitely get to you. Now don't get me wrong, a little stress is great motivation, but I ultimately think it does more harm than good.

Back in April, I couldn't fall asleep the night before the test. It was miserable. I stumbled into the test center that morning, fueled on nothing but caffeine and anxiety, looking like I'd slept in a dumpster.

The most depressing part about it was that I knew my stuff like the back of my hand, but my lack of sleep definitely hindered my performance, especially in VR. In fact, my overall score was pretty competitive, but my terrible sleep-induced VR score was what screwed me up.

Looking back on it, I think I just overdid it.

My advice is just to relax and treat this like it's just another test. You know your stuff, so don't worry about it. Just go in there and show it who's boss.
