I'm taking a significant course load this semester (7 classes) and have been traveling to interviews for the past few weeks. It's difficult to maintain such a full schedule when youre not in school, and so I am considering withdrawing from one of my courses. My question is: For those schools I am interested in and will likely send file updates at some point, how do they (well, med schools in general) look at a W during application year? Can I do this and not be adversely affected at schools? Any thoughts or experiences or recommendations would be very much appreciated.

i had a couple of w's on my transcript and one of my interviewers asked about them. I had a good reason and explained them well and it didn't seem like a negative. Also, from the way the interviewer reacted I don't think that w's mattered at all. Of course, in the end I didn't get accepted, but I don't believe that having the w's on my transcript really hurt me.
