Hey y'all...just wondering if anyone could comment on A to Z Drugs as compared with Epocrates for the PDA. Just wondering if I should shell out some dough for A to Z or if the free Epocrates is sufficient, in which case I could spend the extra money on beer, pizza, and concerts. Thanks for the help.

Shell out the money for the pay epocrates.. it rocks. Either that, or find a tarascon pocket pharmacopeia... those are my two favorites.

I got through 3rd year fine with the free epocrates. You can sometimes find a drug rep to give you a free pocket pharmacopeia.

I kind of like the AtoZ drugs and Dr Drugs from skyscape. (www.skyscape.com). Most of Skyscape's medical programs rock plus the company updates its program almost yearly. However, if money is tight, I'll go for free epocrates.

Some will give you a certificate for ePocrates Pro too.

Tarascon for the PDA is excellent. Make sure you try that. I am actually using Tarascon and ePocrates Pro, and I prefer Tarascon.

I've used epocrates, Dr drugs, A to Z, and a bunch of other pda drug references. A to Z Drugs is far and away my favorite, it rocks! Epocrates is free though, so it's hard to say if A to Z is worth the extra cash to a med student. Keep in mind, you can always try and use the skyscape hack and get AtoZ for free . . . but that would be wrong.
