I was bored so I called them...here's what I found out!

- the highest application number that 2002 application cycle went up to was in the 6000s via web and for the paper form of the 2002 AADSAS applications were a few hundreds they said. So total applicants for Entering Class 2002 are not even 7000! Recall that there are almost 5000 seats available between all the US dental schools!

- for 2003 application cycle there will be no paper form of AADSAS applications available. All application must be online. :cool:

so are there really 5000spots..that seems like alot considering most schools accept less than 100...weird!

Yeah, maybe there isn't 5000, regardless, 4500 is still pretty good odds if there are only less than 7000 applicants!

Here's the trend again, as you can see, there are 4300 seats listed as enrollees in 1998, give and take 200 seat differences for new school openings and some closings...

what happened in the mid-70's??? that was a LOT of applicants...
