PIT-SIG Challenge: 161 New Palliative Medicine Fellows:
According to the AAHPM Website, there are 161 palliative medicine fellowship spots nationwide. We are a tiny speciality, and we know that it is important for these fellows to have a way to connect with each other, and with us.
HERE IS THE CHALLENGE:
We want all 161 new palliative medicine fellows to join this facebook site.
YOUR JOB:
Invite all of the first year fellows in your department to join this facebook site.
Extra credit: invite all of the fellows from the past 3 years to join this site.
WHEN A NEW FELLOW JOINS:
Ask them to post a hello message and what program they are from. Gosia and I will be keeping track, and by AAHPM 2010, we want all 161!
THEN:
We need to make them feel welcome, by including them in our discussions and encouraging them to start their own. We want them to be comfortable posting questions, concerns, vents (when appropriate), etc.
