Asking for a friend:
"I'm really confused about this question and hope that someone can help me understand AAMC's explanation
I chose C because I thought the author was arguing the first Zurvanites were influenced by the Babylonian's conception of time and didn't think too much about my answer. After some thinking, I understand B is correct because the passage doesn't say that the Zurvanites were *only* influenced by the Babylonians.
However, the AAMC explanations seem to say that the question of whether the Indians or the Babylonians influenced the Zurvanites doesn't matter because neither related to the author's main point. Does the "author's argument" in the question stem always refer to the author's central thesis? From other passages, I never thought that was the case"
