AAMC practice tests versus the actual MCAT

Hi -

I'm pretty sure this might've been posted earlier, but I wanted to get your honest opinions on how the AAMC exams matches up against the real MCATs. So far I've taken 5R and 8 (with surprisingly good marks) and will be planning to take 6, 7, and 9 the next three saturdays. If you can link an older post, that'll help just as much. thanks

If you perform a search and type in practice vs actual mcat or something along those lines you will come across a really good thread started sometime last year I believe. I looked through that thread for my last mcat in august and it was really uplifting. Most people performed better on the actual mcat compared to their practice tests. For me, the opposite 🙁 . Test 8 was the closest to my real mcat...only one point off. But since you got good marks on 8 thats great news! Good job! I am taking test 8 this weekend and hoping to see good marks as well! 🙂

The AAMC practice tests are the most accurate indicator of any practice tests I've done. My scores increased incrementally as I practiced and was within a point of my final two AAMC practice test results.
