What is the "AAMC Transmission Date" of an application? Does a school pull the app? where there is no date what is the significance?

Members don't see this ad.

Does AMCAS mail out the paper copy themselves (they just print it out and send it to these schools by snailmail?)

The transmission date is the date on which your application was sent electronically to that school. If there is no date, then the school doesn't accept electronic transmission from AMCAS so they got a paper copy.

Yes. AMCAS either sends out a hard copy for the school or another possibility of why there is no transmission date is that there are several other electronic methods that schools can pull the AMCAS app off (i.e. ftp) and if the school uses those methods and not the "AMCAS" site method, then it won't show up. Rest assured that they are being sent...If you are really worried, call AMCAS or call your schools to see if they've received it or not.
