I don't believe this!! Right before the real Mcat. My breakdown was 10PS 9VR 11BS. I got the first 27 questions right on PS and it was all downhill from there. I was consistently getting 12-13s on the other aamc's. I thought the VR was ok, had 2 hard passages (I hate those 10 question passages). Some of the Bio passages were totally whacked, esp. towards the end, one psg with genetic **** of Drosophilia. I didn't even understand what the psg was talking about.

metal oxide semi-conducting ferric...?

sorry to be impertinent. you don't know what the REAL mcat will test you on, and from what I've heard, the extra adrenaline on test day gives you higher than normal focus. If only I was getting thirties on practice tests!😛

I hear ya. My 6 scores were 8PS, 9VR, 9BS. They were my lowest of all the practice tests but it's a far cry from 30's!!

i took 6r this weekend and i thought the drosophila passage was pretty bad.
mosfet, your scores look not bad at all. i'm not sure what you're worried about, you're gonna do fine especially if you respond well under pressure, unlike me.
i'm kind of scared to take anymore tests b/c i don't want to have a demoralizing experience and be bummed for the rest of the week.
btw, is anyone having a hard time concentrating?

Not Shorty,
MOSFET stands for metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor. Aren't you glad you don't need to know that for the mcat🙂 I had to know it for my elec. engineering classes. It sucked!!

Siglani,
Under any other circumstances I would have been happy with my mcat. But my gpa is below avg and I need to make it up somehow.

mosfet,

i wouldnt worry too much. i've taken 8 full lengths (kaplan and AAMC) and AAMC VI was my worst score. it was a bitch. the only thing im worrying about now is making sure my fridge is stocked with enough alcohol to get me through saturday night

You damn right about the alcohol!!

Here's my breakdown for my MCAT scores:

TPR Test 4911 (6/3) -- B 8, P 6, V 6
TPR Test 4921 (7/2) -- B 8, P 7, V 6
TPR Test 4931 (7/21) -- B 8, P 10, V 7
AAMC 5R (8/2) -- B 10, P 11, V 10
AAMC 3R (8/7) [on my own] -- B 10, P 12, V 9
AAMC 6R (8/9) -- B 10, P 12, V 9 (hmmm. I couldn't count. when I was pacing myself, I accidentally gave myself 75 minutes instead of 85. I was wondering why the proctor didn't give the 5-minute warning when I thought she would. let's not hope this happens on Saturday. i was 1 question off from an 11 in BS.)

I'm seriously considering voiding my score, looking at my track record. all i'm aiming for is a 30+. my scores just don't seem good enough to hold up this coming saturday.
😕

Jason110, the general consensus seems to be that 5R and 6R are pretty good indicators of performance on the real thing (there are several threads on this in this forum that you can find if you do a search), so if all you're aiming for is 30 or above I would say go ahead and take the test Sat. and have it scored, as you will likely score within your desired range. Good luck!

Jason - if I were you I would not consider voiding my score. I voided in April only because I had not had enough time to study, knew I would be teaching MCAT and studying all summer. Many times since then, I have wished that I scored the test so I would know how I did and perhaps have had more fun this summer.

On the day of the test, you will not be able to tell how you did, and you will not be able to decide whether to void based on your feelings that day. You have to make the decision now. Sorry.

Your practice test scores look fine for a 30+. Instead of hesitating, be positive and don't look back. Good luck.
