I have heard soooo many complaints about how there was a ton of genetics on the April mcat and that it was really difficult. I confused about this though, because I printed up the list of mcat topics from AAMC, and there definitely is a lot of genetics on there, but it is all basic stuff such as structure of DNA, mendelian genetics, mutations, etc. What gives here? were the passages just hard to figure out? or did the test require a deeper knowledge of genetics than AAMC tells you? I am nervous about this, because bio is what I have been good at on my practice tests, but if the real thing is nothing like practice, I might be in trouble!
