hi all, this is my first post here,
i took the august mcat this past summer, and i am currently a junior at ucla... with med schools saying they prefer the april mcat, and many people speaking not so enthusiastically about the aug mcats, did i make a mistake? i thought i would take the august so i wouldnt have to juggle a full blown school year with mcat studies.... is the only reason august mcats are not preferred due to application scheduling reasons?? or am i just missing something??

you are a junior, so taking the august mcat was a good idea for you. talk to yr premed advisor. taking august only effects you if you were applying this year. you have time so it is not such a big deal, and gives you time to take it in april, if you had to (which you probably won't right?) you will still be early if you decide to apply in yr senior year. good luck. also search this forum but def talk to yr advisor.
