I am not aware of any geared specifically towards ABSITE. Lots of people take the Osler course which is designed for the ACS Boards, but would cover the same material as well.

Here is one I found doing a Google search which states its geared for ABSITE, I don't know anyone who has taken it:http://www.intumed.com/best_resident.htm

Others are geared for Boards or aren't actual courses but rather books, tapes, etc.: http://www.cmeinfo.com/store_temp/proddetails.asp?prodcat=174

Be careful with review courses. They provide information but you have to know the information to pass the exam. I know 2 people who took the same review course, one did well the other performed poorly. I think it was a difference in study techniques.

My question is...how would anyone have time to take an ABSITE course during residency?

I used .... last year and did pretty well on my ABSITE. They have a lot of practice questions and a pretty good textbook.

Well, I would like to thank you for your spontaneous, selfless, unbiased recommendation.

I see that you are new to the SDN community. You've picked a good topic for discussion, and I appreciate you reviving this thread. As residents, we are always looking for a new resource, especially one that comes with a recommendation from one of our fellow "gutcutters."

I look forward to hearing your opinion on many other topics that we residents face, and I expect that you will remain active in the SDN community.

Sincerely, SLUser
