Anyone thinking about going into academic dentistry? This is something that I would really like to do, but I wanted poll the experts out here for a bit more information.

I have heard that you can do full-time faculty or part-time with a private practice on the side. Any ideas on this one? Are any of you considering going into academic and what are some of the pros and cons? I'm sure that there will probably be some salary differences.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
