Are there any academic oral maxillofacial surgeons lurking here? I never read anything about it because it seems like most grads go into private practice.
What does your day to day consist of in terms of procedures? Are these hospital based positions mostly for fellowship trained surgeons? How are the hours/pay? Do you plan on staying in academics or transitioning to private practice?
