Acceptance Question

I know that you can hold multiple acceptance spots until May 15th. My question is how do you officially declare your final pick? When do most people do this?

I know we have talked about holding multiple acceptances and how long you can hold them, but I don't recall anyone saying how you narrow it down to your final pick. Any insight would be appreciated.

Well I think on April 15th, schools will know where else you have gotten in. And on May 15th, "there can be only one."

In practice, you should be declining acceptances to places you aren't going to along the way, in order to be courteous to other applicants.

But if you have multiple active acceptances, you just send a letter to all the schools you don't want to go to. They generally send back your deposit, as is encouraged by AAMC.
