I was wondering if in the applications process, med schools require you to let them see your medical records. The reason I ask is because I'm currently taking Zoloft, and I don't like the idea of them knowing that. Thanks!

No, medical records are not asked for or necessary in the application process to medical school.

one school gave me a form in which i had to agree that i had the mental and physical abilities to complete a career as a physician. while they didn't ask for medications i'm on, they did mention how a doctor must be mentally capable of dealing with a lot of issues and physically capable of performing physical exams etc. and they made me sign the form saying that i believed i was capable of all that.

in other words, as long as you believe yourself to be capable (which i'm sure you are!!), then no schools should have any reason to know the kinds of medications you are on!

good luck to ya!
