I don't understand this mechanism at all!
what makes the sodium channels closed during the constant stimulus?how can sod influx cause inactivation of the channel?
why does the threshold increases during constant stimulation??

I don't think so , because if so why does a nerve respond to a stimulus of increasing intensity?
I don't know what makes threshold increses when a constant stimulus is applied

Neural adaption isn't fully understood I believe. They think it is mediated in the cortex though.
