anyone here working on electronics engineering applications in medicine?
what is a hot topic of research these days for a md/phd in electrical engineering?

I am interested in an MD/PhD. I would like to know what an MD/PhD actually does, where do they work? universities? hospitals? are they allowed/ do they normally have private offices where they accept patients?
what if they decide to stop their research and be a "regular" doctor? is this possible?

To give a little background about my knowledge in medicine. My father is an assistant professor of surgery but not in the US. So I am trying to understand more about being an MD or an MD/PhD specifically in the states not about medicine or research in medicine generally.

what is the difference between MSTP and MD/PhD? are they the same thing?
