I have a question to throw out to mostly the younger med students.
Does your entire circle of friends wherever you're studying medicine consist of just people in the medical school system? If so, is that a bother to you? Like, am I gonna go to lecture and say a line from Simpsons, and get a reply like, "Yeah, that lecture was a little slow. I think they should make this class more of a challenge..."
I've made a policy of not liking premeds at my undergrad b/c they were always so vapid and lifeless -- they didn't have lives outside of premed! Just so boring! Most of my friends at UCLA were athletes, so I didn't have to endure anyone with a really big ego or under boatloads of stress.
I guess I'm kinda anxious about being transplanted so far from home in such a smaller class. Thanks for the responses, guys!
