I'm thinking about writing my adversity essays about either:

- Being responsible for basically raising my two younger siblings (since both parents worked, not because they were out of the picture) from the time I was 8 years old to college. I could also add something about the pressure to succeed and be a good role model, especially because my parents and I are first generation Asian immigrants and there are a lot of expectations due to that. I feel like I grew up a little faster because of this experience, and it developed a lot of the qualities I have today (patience, good with children, independent, empathetic, etc)

- Dealing with a speech impairment (slight stuttering when I was younger) which is no longer a problem after therapy/treatment. I had to deal with discrimination/bullying in school because of this. I think the entire experience has influenced the way I treat people and has made me stronger. (I don't know if this is a good idea because it shows a weakness?)

Are either of them good topics?

In my personal opinion both of these seem to be pretty good topics.
