    There's an active post in the allopathic forum giving some really great advice to entering first years. I wanted to post the link to let entering med students on this forum (and pre-meds) take a look:

    http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=115668

    I'll also copy/paste that post, in case any other med students who hang around this forum want to add to this list. Eventually, I'm hoping to take those people who post advice and toss into a Word document for people on this forum to download and keep (unless some mod decides to make it a sticky post).

    I thought this might be a good thread for those of us starting med school in 2004. I got the idea from another forum on SDN, and it seems perfect for those of us entering med school world.

    Some things that might be a good idea to post:
    * study tips
    * roomate tips
    * ideas about what to do with free time (evenings)
    * ideas about what to do with vacation (summer vacation)
    * setting up meetings with Dean of Students
    * ways to avoid becoming burnt out!
    * etc!
