i am a caribbean medical student (ross university).
i am not seeking a competitive specialty. but, what specialties should i look into, as having a realistic chance of matching into?

I don't think your situation is as bad as you make it out to be. You can certainly match into the following fields: FP, Peds, IM, Psych, and maybe even Path. If you start hussling now, do well on Step 2, and get rad evals and power LoRs, you may even be able to shoot for Gen Surg or PM&R. Of course you'd be vying for the lower-tier programs in less desirable locations in all of these fields, but hey, residency doesn't last forever right?

Good luck to you.

thanks for the reply, dr cuts. best of luck to u in radiology.

are lower-tier programs in neurology, occupational medicine, or anesthesiology a realistic possibilty?
