Hi,
I graduated May 2024 with a bachelors degree and am currently taking a gap year to study for my DAT. My biggest problem is that my GPA in undergrad was below a 3.0. I spoke with my advisor and was told that pursuing a master's degree and getting a high GPA there would help my chances. I have been studying for my DAT and plan to take it in jan/feb 2025. I have also been applying to a remote master's program, which I don't even know will accept me due to GPA. Any advice on what to do? I feel very discouraged sometimes and I don't even know if I have a chance and should just pursue something else. I don't even know what good careers I could get into with a biology degree. If anyone knows of any mentors I would be so grateful! I'm very much in need of some guidance at this point.

Did you attend any career advising sessions over the past 3 years about career options with your degree? That's why they are there, and you pay tuition and fees for them.

I had a sub 3.0, did an SMP, got into dental school and am now practicing. I am not sure how much the application landscape has changed but DM me if you have questions.
