I took the april mcat and scored a 26Q: 10ps, 7vr, 9bs
in preparing for the april exam i took all the AAMC exams (3-7) and some kaplan- so if the best prep. is practice exams- now what?
i just took EK 1g or whatever and got a 6 in bs and a 7 in ps. whats going ON?!?!??!?!?!??!!!! advice pplllllease on raising your score or at least maintaining it!

I took 1g yesterday and my score sucked too. EK tests are generally considered very hard. Maybe take an aamc test, you probably don't remember that much from over three months ago.

Good luck :luck:

Well considering that the April MCAT session is distant you are at a risk of forgetting what you know - so you should keep your knowledge sharp.

If i were you i would incorporate the topical or subject tests (of which there are tons at kaplan) into a weekly routine - maybe like on weekends. Consistency in this case will do you more good than intensity of study. Stay acquainted with the MCAT expectations i.e. critical thinking, and the best way is to keep doing MCAT style problems regularly.

Incorporating a random foundation review session every 2 weeks cant hurt either. .

Good Luck

Don't worry......

The first test i took was an EK and my results SUCKED which put me in a really bad frame of mind right from the start. Then friends advised me to forget EK b/c those exams are the hardest and not that realistic. I've been doing the AAMC exams and scored considerably higher. Now i'll go back and do the EKs just for practice, but maybe not score them, just review them. I'm afraid a really bad score at this point will throw me into panic and it will kill me for the real thing.
