How did you get this compensation structure? Was it your first job out of training? This seems like a great offer given the location.

interventional pain / pmr in NYC currently earning $400k base with a 30% collections bonus for anything above $800k. Seeing 25–35 patients per day, mix of Medicaid, Medicare, private, and about 15% No-Fault/Work Comp.


The practice owner gets referrals for EMG and DME, which adds another revenue stream (I don’t see direct income from that, but it’s part of the ecosystem). I’m estimating I’m generating at least $175 per patient conservatively, maybe more.

Trying to get a sense if this comp structure is reasonable and how I should approach negotiating my 3rd-year contract. Would appreciate thoughts from others doing similar volume/workload. Thanks in advance.
