How does one best prepare for the verbal part of the MCAT ? Any ideas ? Reading articles ? And writing summaries ? Kaplan ? Other ?

I didnt think much of this section of the exam until I met an M-1 with a 3.85 undergrad GPA and 12s and 13s on the science sections but scored a 6 on the verbal part and didnt get in on his first attempt. He had to retake the MCAT and get the Verbal to a 10.

Actually, I read that the verbal section may be the best indicator of success in med school. Thoughts ?

Mike,
There is an MCAT forum, where these types of questions can be addressed.

yeah, you really should post your MCAT-related questions in the MCAT forum. But a quick answer: the verbal section is very important. Do tons of practice passages and figure out what technique works for you.
