Hi Everyone!

Is there any Canadian dentist who practice in the US right now?

Can we have our own practice if we are Canadian with a permanent resident card or we have to become citizens?

I would like to know your experience in your first year of practice in the US, where is the best place to start... I had a couple of offers to work in Health Care Centers, but I'm really not sure about this option... I saw a lot of bad comments about this kind of practice on the SDF. But with the Economy being so bad in Michigan, I'm thinking that maybe it will be better to have a fixed salary for a year....since a lot of patients can't afford dental treatments right now...

Any kind of advice will be appreciated!

Thanks!

I think you have to be a citizen to own any business, whatsoever.

You can setup practice as a permanent resident. As a permanent resident you cannot vote. Thats the only difference.
