i got an aecom acceptance in the mail today. It's in a small envelope and I think they sent it out Jan 13. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone else got an acceptance? Because I received 2 different mails from AECOM...one from office of admissions and one from office of the dean. Somehow, the flap of the office of the dean envelope came open and sooo when I got it, there was nothing inside, just the opened envelope. So I'm just trying to find out what that piece of mail was to see if I need to contact them to send me another 1 or not. So someone please tell me!

I just got the one from office of admissions - nothing from the deans office.

yay aecom! 👍

yep i got one today too, i think i interwiewed on 10/11 or 10/10.

I got that second letter from the dean's office -- it was an application for an AECOM Service and Research Scholarship. While requesting more recs and writing more statements of intent sounds totally unappealing right now, if you're interested in either community service or research the letter makes it sound like they will be giving out pretty substantial awards. If you're seriously considering AECOM and you need financial aid, I'd definitely request that they re-send you that information.

thanks for the info, good to know what I was missing! Okay another question now...with my acceptance letter, they included an envelope to mail back the response of accepting or declining the acceptance, but I didn't recieve any form to sign or anything! Did you guys receive any forms to send back to either mark you're going to accept or decline the offer?

I didn't get any forms either, just the envelope stamped with a little red star (the return envelope for the scholarship app was stamped with a red smiley face, I guess so they can pick them out quickly when we return them).

I was actually a little confused by the lack of forms, since I recently heard from another NYC school so I definitely will not be attending AECOM. Their letter made it sound like in order to notify them that I don't want to hold my spot, I should just not send a deposit. Since I like clarity, and also wanted them to know ASAP so they can give that spot to someone else, I just typed up my own letter letting them know I'm not coming. So while obviously if you send a check you are letting them know your intention to hold your place, personally I would also include a note with your AMCAS ID etc -- might be overkill, but it doesn't hurt to make things clear.

Which NYC school will you be attending instead?

Congrats to everyone who got accepted to AECOM...
I was just wondering if any of you are planning to NOT live in the student housing in the Bronx? I don't particularly want to live outside of Manhattan, but the process of finding an apartment in NYC seems daunting.

Any opinions or tips from anyone? Does AECOM have a housing office that can help students find off-campus housing?

I also got accepted, but i'm more than likely withdrawing if i don't get a scholarship. I was really impressed by the school when I visited. good luck everyone! 😀

I got accepted too. My letter was from admissions. It came open too. I was fortunate that the letter itself did not fall out and that I just didn't get an empty envelope.

Holy ****!! With all those nice acceptances and interviews, you're not actually thinking about going to the Dartmouth interview, are you? Any favorites thus far?

Wow, congrats on all your acceptances. Vanderbilt is so weird. I know somebody else with super-amazing stats and a number of other great acceptances (including Hopkins) who got waitlisted there.
