Hey everyone I'm a second year student and due to circumstances I wont be able to write 3 exams and will have to take aegrotat status.Basically what this means is that I will get the mark that I would receive in the class without the exam but it will so aegrotat status on my transcript. How will this effect my chances of getting into medical school.

I live in Ontario so most likely not but it is a possibility. Why?

You'll probably have to ask individual schools, but for the most part no one scours your transcript in Canada they just calculated your GPA and that's that, in which case it wouldn't matter much. No one will be able to tell you definitively except the med admissions departments of the schools you'll be applying to.

Canadian med schools are much less holistic than US schools though, so if @Lawper is right about it not mattering in the US I'd be pretty shocked if anyone cared in Canada.
